100% Belizean management and staff. Why is this important? It means that we all take a little bit more pride in what we do and how we do it. The hospitality is genuine at all levels. We’re not just working for ourselves and our families; we’re also working for our country.
Our reservations team is located right here at Naia. They are not sitting in an overheated office in Milwaukee, Manhattan or Montreal staring at a poster of some anonymous Caribbean beach. They may be behind a computer screen but right outside their windows are real swaying Belizean palm trees. Also, they are not robots or A.I. renderings. They are real people with real names and they are really good at what they do.
We don’t nickel and dime our guests. No hidden costs, no mystery charges, no “junk fees”. Your room rate is clearly stated as is the tax and service charge. That 10% service charge is applied only to the room rate and all of it is distributed to Naia’s employees. This charge allows staff members who work outside of the public eye (sales and marketing, accounting, maintenance, landscaping, security, etc.) to earn a gratuity from guests who may not see them but benefit from their efficient service. The only staff members who do not share in the service charge pool are front of house employees in our restaurants and the therapists at our spa. These team members normally receive gratuities directly from our restaurant and spa guests based on the quality of service delivered. For group events such as conferences, retreats and receptions, a 10% food and beverage gratuity is added and distributed to wait staff.
Sales tax is included in our menu pricing. When you read our various menus, the prices you see are by law inclusive of 12.5% Government Sales Tax and that is the price you will see at the bottom of your restaurant, spa or tour bill. No added tax, no “resort fee”, no service charge, no “suggested” rate of gratuity.
Our accommodations range from one to 6-bedroom units. Whether you are travelling solo, as a couple, or in an extended family, Naia has the inventory to fit your needs. Our reservations and concierge teams will work closely along with you to customize your dream vacation so you can travel with peace of mind.
Resort amenities are all included in your room rate. That means complimentary access and use of the main pool, bicycles, kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling gear, volleyballs, soccer balls, loungers, hammocks, pickleball courts, fitness center, yoga/movement studio, dock and miles of internal roads, beaches and lagoons throughout Naia’s 224-acre property. If you ask nicely a beach captain just might cut you a fresh coconut.
